Learning an instrument can be a great way to access a part of life that ordinarily might go untouched. It can heighten your senses and make you feel a sense of artistic achievement. It is also great fun being able to play or sing interesting tunes and create beautiful sounds regardless of any age and ability!

Lessons usually take place at the student’s house. You will therefore need an instrument at home to be taught on (see our Instrument Hire page for details).

The lessons are scheduled at a suitable time for you. Usually, lessons take place on a weekly basis on the same day and at the same time.

Simply contact us, and we will organise for one of our teachers to visit you.

An invoice will be emailed to you at the end of each month breaking down the tuition fees and any instrument hire fees for that month. Payment is then made via direct debit. The amount debited will vary each month depending on the invoice amount and nothing will be charged if no lessons were given.

Normally, lessons are taught on a weekly basis. We would recommend weekly lessons, but ultimately the decision is yours to make. The teacher can also advise you if you have any questions.

Lessons are taught all year round including school holidays, provided that both teacher and student are available for the lessons to continue. However, you can cancel a lesson or two if you are away.

Yes, all of our teachers can coach students through music examinations with ABRSM and other exam boards. However, you don’t have to take exams should you wish to learn for fun!

Yes, you will need an instrument at home to be taught on and to practise on between lessons. If you do not have an instrument at home, we can hire one out to you: delivery and collection is free-of-charge and easy to organise in time for your first lesson

You will not be charged for the lesson if you cancel it outside of the 48 hour cancellation window.

If the teacher cancels the lesson you will not be charged for it, and they are expected to make the lesson up to you.

We teach across all instruments, so we will be able to help you no matter what your requirements.

You will need an instrument, a space at home to be taught in, and a handful of positive energy and enthusiasm!
